Learning Resource Centre

Located on the first floor of the main building, the Learning Resource Centre (LRC) exists to support independent study and to foster student’s information/digital literacy and wider literacy skills.

The LRC provides:

  • The support of a friendly team of two professional librarians and two experienced assistants
  • Information/digital literacy support sessions
  • Over 21,000 hardcopy resources, carefully selected in consultation with teaching departments
  • A digital library of reference and subject specific databases, containing millions of full text magazine and journal articles
  • Online subject reading lists
  • Online guides to becoming a better researcher, many in video clip format
  • 90 study places
  • 34 PCs, 12 Ipads
  • Photocopying, printing and scanning
