Biology field Trip

51 Biology students took part in a 3 day field course in Slapton Ley field centre in Devon, between 30th March and 1st April.  The 3 days provided the opportunity for students to study ecology, conservation and biodiversity in one of the countries’ National Nature Reserves.  Students spent each day studying plants and animals in their natural habitats and collecting ecological data. Evenings were spent analysing this data and drawing conclusions about the habitats and factors affecting the organisms in this beautiful part of the country.  The weather this year was kind to us and we were able to enjoy spending time on the beach and eating our ice creams in the sunshine after a hard mornings work.
